Einen Untertitel gibt es auch:
Kunst oder Kunst?

Die Sache ist schwierig, weil der Begriff Kunst, beziehungsweise die entsprechende Deutung, jedes Jahrzehnt neu erfunden wird. Das ist letztlich aber auch das Gute an der Geschichte und soll hier nicht weiter vertieft werden.

Das wiederum Interessante an KI-Kunst ist der Umstand, dass sie so perfekt Welten herbei zaubern kann, für deren reale Herstellung ein Handwerker einen Monat oder länger benötigen müsste. Man kann über KI schimpfen, man kann sagen, sie macht uns alle auf kurz oder lang arbeitslos. Andererseits kann man sich, so glaubt der Autor, auch mit ihr verbünden und Träume träumen, die so real und so bewusst noch nie ein Mensch zuvor sich zu träumen wagte.

Der Traum wird Kunst und Kunst wird zum Traum. Und wer das nicht wahrhaben will, für den gilt ein altes und zugleich brutales Sprichwort: Friss oder stirb.

The matter is difficult because the concept of art, or the corresponding interpretation, is reinvented every decade. But that’s ultimately the good thing about it, and it won’t be further explored here.

The truly interesting aspect of AI art is its ability to conjure up worlds so perfectly that it would take a craftsman a month or more to create them in reality. You can criticize AI, you can say that it will make us all unemployed sooner or later. On the other hand, one can also, as the author believes, ally with it and dream dreams that are so real and so consciously profound that no human has ever dared to dream them before.

The dream becomes art, and art becomes the dream. And for those who refuse to accept this, an old and brutal saying applies: Eat or be eaten.
